Call and Procedure


The Call for Contributions is now closed.

Following the Call for Sessions, a Call for Contributions will be held by the conveners of the Parallel Sessions in close collaboration with the Scientific Committee. Proposed contributions must be relevant to one of the selected themes for Parallel Sessions.

Due to the large response to the Call for Parallel Sessions, the Call for Contributions has been postponed and will open on 19 January, 2015.

Oral contributions for sessions, including keynotes, must be submitted via the Call for Contributions.Once the Call for Contributions has closed, selected oral contributions will be included in the Parallel Sessions hosted by conveners or be recommended as part of the poster sessions.

Contributions will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • Relevance
  • Scientific quality
  • Innovation/novelty

Timeline for the Call for Contributions

  • 19 January 2015: Opening of the Call for Contributions (Oral, Poster)
  • 10 March 2015 (23:59 CET): Deadline for submission of Contributions (Oral, Poster)
  • 22 March 2015: Extended deadline for submission of Contributions
  • 13 April: Notice to contributors of acceptance of Contributions
    The notification about the status of the contributions is in progress. All contributors will be contacted by email soon.


Oral contributions for sessions, including keynotes, and poster contributions must be submitted via the Call for Contributions.

Once the Call for Contributions has closed, selected oral contributions may be included in the Parallel Sessions hosted by Conveners or may be recommended as a Poster Contribution as part of the Conference’s Poster Sessions. Proponents of oral and poster contributions will be informed of the outcome of their proposal following the review and selection process.

Writing instructions

  • Authors are invited to submit IN ENGLISH an abstract related to one of the Parallel Sessions themes.
  • Select the relevant Parallel Session theme when submitting your abstract. Please note that abstracts may be proposed for another session by the session Conveners and Scientific Committee during the review process.
  • Submissions are limited to ONE abstract submission as first author by the proponent.
  • The length of your abstract must not exceed 53 lines.
  • Text, symbols and mathematical formulas are accepted.
  • Graphics and images are not accepted.
  • Deadline to submit a contribution: 22 March 2015 (23:59 CET)

Please note that the conference organizers will not provide any financial support for parallel session conveners and invited speakers. Financial support may be available to qualifying participants from developing countries who meet certain criteria.


Poster Sessions

Poster sessions offer an opportunity to support in-depth communication and presentation of scientific research, results and achievements, and are very efficient for conveying messages to a large audience with time for discussion that cannot be offered in oral sessions.
